Eagle Ranch

Eagle Ranch has been serving families and children for 35 years through counseling, support groups, family activities, and residential living on their campus. “I can point to physical, tangible things that Gwinnett Church has contributed to [at the Ranch],” said Kelly Brewer, an Eagle Ranch staff member. 

That impact is also seen in the intangible at Eagle Ranch. One of Eagle Ranch’s biggest initiatives is their Support and Family Care Model. In each of the residential program’s 10 homes, houseparents and a program assistant support up to six children as they heal from trauma and pain. The parents model a healthy home and marriage, and the assistant fills the role of an older sibling or mentor. The children, most of them from broken homes, stay at the Ranch for an average of two years. Their time at Eagle Ranch allows them to heal individually and with their families so the family as a whole can reunite and find healing together.

Thanks to your generosity during Be Rich last year, you fully funded one of these family care homes, including the salaries for one set of houseparents and a program assistant for an entire year. The houseparents and program assistant serve as the hands and feet of Jesus to these kids. They provide stability, pray and do devotionals together, cook meals, assign chores, and more. Supporting them every step of the way, these intentional people provide a space for children to invite God, perhaps for the first time, into their anger, anxiety, depression, and family issues.
