We want to create a church that unchurched people love to attend. Unfortunately, many unchurched people are more familiar with what the church is against, rather than what the church is for.
We simply want Gwinnett Church to be known for what we are for.
We are for Gwinnett families, couples, singles, students, and children. We are for Norcross, Suwanee, Duluth, Sugar Hill, and all of the great cities in our county. We are for Gwinnett.
The reason we are for the people in our county is because God is for them. The most famous verse in the Bible clearly states this: “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but will have eternal life.”
We simply want to share the news with the people in our county that God is for them, and we are too. Our desire is to create a church where you will want to invite your friends, family, and neighbors to experience this life-changing truth.
But we need your help.
This website is designed to inform and invite you to join us in this journey. Make sure to scroll down to see how you can be a part of what Jesus is building here. Together, we will share the best news anyone will ever hear: God is with you and God is for you.
Gwinnett Church is the fifth campus created by North Point Ministries as part of its mission to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and to create churches to which people feel comfortable to invite their unchurched friends.
In January 2011, Jeff Henderson became the lead pastor of Gwinnett Church and, with a small team of staff and volunteers, started thinking through how the church could be a part of what God was doing in Gwinnett County.
Gwinnett Church had inaugural services on Good Friday and Easter Sunday at Gwinnett Center in April 2011 and officially launched on October 2 at the Gwinnett Center.
After meeting there for three months, Dr. James Merritt, the senior pastor of Cross Pointe Church, graciously offered the use of their building. Gwinnett Church has been meeting there on Sunday nights since January 2012. We currently serve about 750 adults and 300 children and students.
